Professor DeLong-Bas is an expert on 伊斯兰教, the Middle East, 伊斯兰教ic law, women 和 gender, 和 terrorism 和 extremism. Professor DeLong-Bas’ research focuses on Saudi Arabia 和 the Gulf countries, issues related to 伊斯兰教 和 women 和 gender issues, especially family law, religious extremism, 和 terrorism, particularly Al-Qaida 和 ISIS. Delong-Bas is writing a book called, Shariah: What Everyone Needs to Know (Oxford University Press, 2017). She is President of the American Council for the Study of 伊斯兰教ic Societies 和 Editor-in-Chief of the award-winning The Oxford Encyclopedia of 伊斯兰教 和 Women; 她的书 Wahhabi 伊斯兰教: From Revival 和 Reform to 全球 Jihad was named “1 of the 5 best books for underst和ing 伊斯兰教” by the Wall Street Journal.
